The Southeastern Local Trojans entered their tilt with the Northwestern Warriors with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Southeastern Local came out on top against Northwestern by a score of 63-52 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southeastern Local also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Northwestern's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brock Bishop, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bishop has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mason McDermott, who scored ten points.
Southeastern Local has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Northwestern, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeastern Local will take on Madison Plains at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwestern, they will be playing at home against Bethel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwestern is coming into the contest with five straight defeats at home, meaning Bethel will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
