The North Lincoln Knights stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on West Iredell with a sharp 84-58 win. With North Lincoln ahead 53-25 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Heavner, who scored 18 points along with six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Kellen Karr, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
West Iredell's loss came despite strong showings from Jermaine Cornelius and David Bunton. Cornelius scored 24 points, while Bunton scored 17 points.
North Lincoln pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for West Iredell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Lincoln will take on East Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lincoln is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for West Iredell, they will be playing at home against North Iredell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Iredell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully West Iredell likes a good challenge.
