Herron is a perfect 4-0 against Tindley since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Achaeans will venture away from home to face off against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Herron is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Herron's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Indianapolis Shortridge as they made off with a 7-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Achaeans have posted against the Blue Devils since May 2, 2016.

Colvin Meek made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Elon Sharp was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Colin McHugh also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Tindley came up short against Irvington Preparatory Academy on Wednesday, falling 13-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with Irvington Preparatory Academy: they've now lost seven in a row.

Tindley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justus Johnson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run. Wilson Makori was another, earning one run and three stolen bases.

Tindley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Herron, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Herron took their win against Tindley when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 21-5 score. Will the Achaeans repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
