Woodward Academy faced McIntosh in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The War Eagles fell 2-0 to the Chiefs. The War Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Woodward Academy ultimately came up short, they really made McIntosh work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-14.

McIntosh was led to victory by Baylee Tanton and Lilly Bracco. Tanton had ten assists and five digs, while Bracco had seven digs and one assist.

Woodward Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for McIntosh, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Coincidentally, Woodward Academy and McIntosh will both be playing Midtown the next time they take the court. The War Eagles will head out to face the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Chiefs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
