The Harrison Central Red Rebels lost against the Pascagoula Panthers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Harrison Central was dealt a 54-27 defeat at the hands of Pascagoula. While losing is never fun, Harrison Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Pascagoula is ranked 18th).
Despite the loss, Harrison Central still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Pace, who scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jashun McMillian, who scored 4 points along with 3 steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Harrison Central and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Pascagoula, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison Central will take on Gulfport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pascagoula, they will be playing at home against Long Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Long Beach is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
