Monterey is 25-4 this season thanks in large part to Chavez's 35.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Her career point total stands at 4,389, good for 24th on the all-time list.

The 5-foot-11 point guard has scored 40 or more 12 times this season and 50 or more twice. Chavez has seven career 50-point games with a career-high of 57 during her junior year in an
80-54 win over Plano.
Chavez has narrowed her final six college choices to South Carolina, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, LSU and UCLA.
