The Mishicot Indians will square off against the Random Lake Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Mishicot is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
While Mishicot's win against Manitowoc Lutheran wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lancers 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted against the Lancers since April 11, 2023.

Nevaeh Malchek made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
In other batting news, Eva Boness was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Cooper Brouchoud, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Mishicot hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manitowoc Lutheran struck out 12 times.
Meanwhile, Random Lake had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They never let the Rockets get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.
Like Mishicot, Random Lake also got a great game from a two-way player: Danika Eberhardt. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Eberhardt has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Daggett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Madison Arndt was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Random Lake's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Mishicot, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mishicot hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Random Lake struggles in that department as they've averaged .378. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mishicot got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Random Lake by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
