Fisher is 2-8 against the Hurricanes since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Fisher Gators will head out on the road to challenge the South Plaquemines Hurricanes at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Fisher's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Fisher pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a 86-56 loss at the hands of Cohen. Fisher has struggled against the Green Hornets recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, South Plaquemines didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Green Hornets on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 56-50 win.
Kameron Stephenson was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 18 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Deanel McGee, who scored ten points.
Fisher now has a losing record at 7-8. As for South Plaquemines, their win bumped their record up to 11-16.
Fisher was dealt a bruising 70-20 defeat at the hands of the Hurricanes in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Fisher, Darmon Williams (who scored 18 points along with two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
