White Plains suffered their biggest loss since December 11, 2023 on Monday. They were outmatched by Jacksonville at home and fell 59-29. White Plains was down 47-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, Cleburne County was the victim of a tough 52-29 loss at the hands of Central of Clay County on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Cleburne County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while Central of Clay County is ranked 122nd).
White Plains' loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Cleburne County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
White Plains strolled past Cleburne County in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 58-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for White Plains since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
