Basketball Recap: River View Skates Past Mount View with Ease

River View won the last time they faced Mount View and things went their way on Wednesday too. The River View Raiders really took it to the Mount View Golden Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-27 victory. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Chasity Kennedy, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Kaci Hatfield was another key player, going 7 for 17 en route to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

River View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive games.

River View's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Mount View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

River View will head out on the road to face off against Meadow Bridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River View knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Meadow Bridge likes a good challenge. Mount View has already played their next contest (against Greater Beckley Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
