When it comes to explaining why Lake Ridge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ahmare Rose. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Rose is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Eze Nwakamma was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Duncanville was led to victory by Brandon Davis-ray and Bugg Edwards. Davis-ray dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds, while Edwards scored 35 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Davis-ray is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavion Lawson, who scored six points.
Lake Ridge's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-5. As for Duncanville, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Lake Ridge will take on Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Duncanville, they will head out on the road to face off against Cedar Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cedar Hill's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matches.
