The biggest upset of the week belonged to Franklin County, who defeated 392nd ranked East Jackson, 27-18.
Elbert County added to the longest winning streak in AAA Region 8 this week by beating Jackson County, 48-27. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Blue Devils.
Kawon Bryant was a force in the backfield as North Oconee defeated Oconee County.
Bryant provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Titans beat the Warriors. Bryant's favorite target this week was Garrett Greene, who caught 3 passes for 64 yards.
Bryant was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 27 carries, he ran for 358 yards as North Oconee lost to Elbert County.
Jackson County's Jacob Lewis and Xavier Harper have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lewis has thrown for 1,988 yards this season, while Harper has 50 catches for 831 yards. Bryant from Terry Tuley's team leads the league in rushing with 2,318 yards.
The top two teams in AAA Region 8 will face off this week when first place Hart County takes on second place North Oconee. Last week, Hart County bested Morgan County, while the Titans beat Oconee County.
Entering into this week's contest against the Bulldogs, Lewis is short just 12 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
