There's no place like home for The Williamsburg Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Clermont Northeastern 41-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Williamsburg, who have now won six matches by 30 points or more so far this season.
Jj Miller was on fire: he threw for 253 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 136 yards on only seven carries. Miller's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Another player making a difference was Pierce Ayers, who picked up 162 receiving yards.
Williamsburg's victory was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.7 points per game. As for Clermont Northeastern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Williamsburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Dixie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dixie comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Clermont Northeastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
