Basketball Recap: Cody Dickerson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Raleigh Christian Academy over Cary Academy

North Raleigh Christian Academy lost against Cary Academy on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights took a 66-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cary Academy Chargers. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly 13 points.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cody Dickerson, who went 7 for 12 en route to 15 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Dickerson has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tristan Thompson, who posted seven points in addition to nine rebounds and three steals.

Aidan Rousseau continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cary Academy, almost dropping a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. Rousseau is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Tweedy, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards.

North Raleigh Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Cary Academy, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Raleigh Christian Academy will take on Ravenscroft at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Ravenscroft has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 206 points over their last three matches. As for Cary Academy, they will square off against South Wake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cary Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.4 points per game this season.
