Meanwhile, Putnam scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They secured a 67-61 W over Killingly. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Noah Rudman, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Nicholas Devlin was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.
Stonington has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Putnam, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Everything came up roses for Stonington against Putnam in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 as the squad secured a 85-35 win. With Stonington ahead 52-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
