While it was all tied up 23-23 at halftime, the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles were not quite the West Pioneers's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 46-44. Bishop Carroll was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braxton Martin, who scored six points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Stevens, who scored eight points.
Bishop Carroll has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for West, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Carroll will take on Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Kapaun Mt. Carmel's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for West, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East at 7:15 p.m.
