After losing to the Bellefontaine Chieftains the last time they met, the Greenon Knights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Greenon escaped with a win on Monday against Bellefontaine by the margin of a single free throw, 48-47.
Bellefontaine lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lexi Robinson, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinlan Zedeker, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Greenon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Bellefontaine, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenon will take on Fairbanks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairbanks is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Bellefontaine, they will play host again and welcome London, where tip off is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. London and Bellefontaine are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
