Windham is a perfect 10-0 against Chalker since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bombers will host the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Windham has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Windham is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Maplewood on Wednesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (15-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Chalker hadn't done well against Bristol recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Beau Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Brown was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Smallsreed, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Zach Pack was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
Chalker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
The win got Chalker back to even at 2-2. As for Windham, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Windham got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Chalker by a conclusive 10-1 score. Will the Bombers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
