The Salem Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Gloucester Catholic Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully the Rams like a good challenge.
Even though Paulsboro scored an imposing 60 points on Saturday, Salem still came out on top. Salem pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over the Red Raiders.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Gloucester Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. They fell 50-42 to Burlington Township.
Salem's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.0 points per game. As for Gloucester Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.
Salem couldn't quite finish off the Rams in their previous meeting back in January and fell 53-50. Can Salem avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
