After flying high against the St. Saviour Panda Bears last Tuesday, the St. Edmund Prep Eagles came back down to earth. St. Edmund Prep took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Priscilla Long, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Long has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was MacKenzie Palisi, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
St. Edmund Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Poly Prep Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
St. Edmund Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hilltoppers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Joseph Hill Academy will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Poly Prep Country Day, they will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Fieldston will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
