Augusta is 1-9 against Circle since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Augusta Orioles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Circle Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Augusta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Augusta's seven-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end. They came out on top against Abilene by a score of 40-33.
Augusta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Bourm, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Maeve Fleming, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Circle unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 45-37 to Labette County.
The win got Augusta back to even at 1-1. As for Circle, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1.
Augusta came up short against Circle when the teams last played back in February, falling 45-37. Can Augusta avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
