Softball Recap: Cristo Rey Jesuit's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Cristo Rey Jesuit unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Walther Christian Academy Broncos, falling 14-1. If the Cristeros were looking for revenge after losing 20-1 to the Broncos when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cristo Rey Jesuit's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Walther Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Coincidentally, Cristo Rey Jesuit and Walther Christian Academy will both be playing Northtown the next time they take the field. The Broncos will head out to face the Pumas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cristeros will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
