Softball Recap: Norwalk Wins Going Away Against Perkins

Norwalk won the last time they faced Perkins and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Truckers blew past the Pirates 11-1. The Truckers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Norwalk and bumps their season record up to 9-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Perkins, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwalk will face off against Bellevue at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Redmen will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Perkins, they will head out on the road to take on Columbian at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Tornadoes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.79 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
