On Monday, the Desert Vista Thunder faced the Hamilton Huskies in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Desert Vista never let Hamilton onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. The win was nothing new for Desert Vista as they're now sitting on three straight.
Their one-goal win came courtesy of
Sergio Jaramillo, who's now up to six this season.
Desert Vista's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those seven games. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6-1.
Desert Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Sunnyslope at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunnyslope will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Desert Vista surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hamilton, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory vs. Mountain Ridge on the 8th.
