After two games on the road, Zephyrhills Christian Academy is heading back home. The Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors and the Hollins Royals will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Zephyrhills Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 604th, while Hollins is ranked 243rd).
Zephyrhills Christian Academy struggled with assists on Tuesday (Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Zephyrhills Christian Academy took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jordani Blanc, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. He scored a full 26.1% of Zephyrhills Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Rogers Jones was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Even though Hollins has not done well against Admiral Farragut recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Hollins enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over Admiral Farragut. The victory was just what Hollins needed coming off of a 68-40 defeat in their prior matchup.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hollins, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
