The Chickasaw Chieftains posted their biggest victory yet this season on Wednesday. They breezed by Washington County at home to the tune of 63-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chickasaw also won the last time the pair played on January 9th.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chickasaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyree Shakur, who scored 14 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shakur has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Larry Weaver-Martin, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Chickasaw's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Washington County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Clarke County the next time they take the court. Washington County will head out to face Clarke County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Chickasaw will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
