Aaron (Aj) Brand Jr.'s Big Game Leads Irmo over River Bluff
Aaron (Aj) Brand Jr. was instrumental in extending Irmo's winning streak to seven on Friday. River Bluff had no answer to Brand Jr. as he rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 120 yards while completing 75% of his passes. The dominant performance gave Brand Jr. a new career-high in rushing yards.
River Bluff had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Brand Jr. it was a similar story. Brand Jr. threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Gators duked it out back in September of 2023.

Tanner Short Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Chapin had to settle for second even though Tanner Short put up the best numbers he has all season. Short picked up two sacks and made 14 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
If the past is any indication, Short could be in store for another big game when he takes on River Bluff on Friday. When Short last faced the Gators back in October of 2023, he picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Dutch Fork Wins 14th-Straight Thanks to Maurice Anderson
Maurice Anderson was instrumental in extending Dutch Fork's winning streak to 14 on Friday. Anderson wasn't messing around, rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown. The game was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.
Dutch Fork's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Anderson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Lexington on Friday.

Martin Came Up Big in Chapin's 33-32 Loss
Cole Martin posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 59 receiving yards.
This season, Martin has averaged 45.1 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 5.71 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 80.86 rushing yards.

Dutch Fork picked up their 14th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ethan Offing. Offing turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 202 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2023.
On the season, Offing has thrown 11 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 212.8 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two passing touchdowns.
