The Lumen Christi Archangels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cook Inlet Academy, falling 63-13. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lumen Christi in their matchups with Cook Inlet Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Cook Inlet Academy was led to victory by Alek McGarry and Ian McGarry. McGarry scored 13 points, while McGarry scored 17 points. McGarry is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandt Rollman, who scored six points.
Lumen Christi bumped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Cook Inlet Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Lumen Christi will head out on the road to challenge Cook Inlet Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cook Inlet Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Tanalian at 5:00 p.m. on January 20th.
