After two weeks on the road, Boca Ciega is heading back home. On Friday they take on Gibbs at 7:30 PM. Gibbs will need to watch out since Boca Ciega have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Boca Ciega put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They blew past Largo 40-14. No one put up better numbers for Boca Ciega than sophomore Taffrey Peterman, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 236 yards and 4 touchdowns. Peterman has been a consistent playmaker for Boca Ciega as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Gibbs have had to suffer through a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their game against Tarpon Springs 20-7.
Their wins bumped Gibbs to 1-5 and Boca Ciega to 4-2. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Gibbs and Boca Ciega clash.
