The Forge Christian Fury will look to take advantage of their home-court for the first time this season as they take on the Platte Canyon Huskies  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Hopefully Forge Christian focused on turnovers this week  as the team gave up 36 on Tuesday.
 Forge Christian is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took  a  44-26 bruising from Platte Valley. The Fury just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.
 Despite the  loss, Forge Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Finley Queen  almost  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and nine  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rio Beck, who  earned five points in addition to eight  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Forge Christian  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 11  offensive rebounds in four consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, Platte Canyon  took care of business in their home opener  on Tuesday (and then some). They blew past Clear Creek 48-2. The  match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  34-2.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Platte Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Sydney Curtis, who  scored two points in addition to six  assists and four  steals. Another player making a difference was  Hanne Rhue, who  earned four points in addition to three  steals.
