Littlefield is 9-1 against Muleshoe since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Littlefield Wildcats will welcome the Muleshoe Mules at 12:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Littlefield barely beat Idalou the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Littlefield's way against Idalou on Tuesday as Littlefield made off with a 20-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Littlefield considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Natalia Sanchez was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Littlefield got a massive performance out of Alyssa Torres, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Brianna Aleman was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs.
Meanwhile, Muleshoe's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They didn't even let Roosevelt on the board, marking Muleshoe's second-straight 13-0 shutout.
Like Littlefield, Muleshoe also got a great game from a two-way player: Adalie Agundis. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Agundis was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Melanie Martens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Addilene Blanco, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Muleshoe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roosevelt only posted an OBP of .062.
Muleshoe has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. Littlefield's win bumped their record up to 13-4.
Saturday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Littlefield has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .497. However, it's not like Muleshoe struggles in that department as they've averaged .578. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Littlefield skirted past Muleshoe 5-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does Littlefield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Muleshoe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
