The Cameron Comets will head out to face off against the Northwestern Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cameron barely beat Cumberland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets put the hurt on the Beavers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Beavers: they've now won three in a row.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cameron took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-2, 25-13.

Cameron can attribute much of their success to Emerson Krahenbuhl, who had four aces and three digs. Krahenbuhl is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Jadyn Siemers also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Cameron was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. They are 8-4 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Northwestern beat Spooner 3-1 on Tuesday.
While Northwestern might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Spooner scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 15-25, 25-22.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 14-12. As for Northwestern, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.
Cameron took their victory against Northwestern in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
