They blew past Denbigh Baptist Christian 52-16 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Hampton Christian Academy, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hampton Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mikaela Lee, who scored 14 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The match was Lee's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Dennis, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Denbigh Baptist Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Hampton Christian Academy racked up 17 assists.
Hampton Christian Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Denbigh Baptist Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hampton Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against StoneBridge at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (StoneBridge: 27, Hampton Christian Academy: 24.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Denbigh Baptist Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Portsmouth Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
