Mayflower - Small recap October 22, 2013
Upper Cape Cod RVT took down Holbrook/Avon 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
South Shore Vo-Tech's dynamic duo of Michael Reale and Shane Coughlan proved tough for West Bridgewater to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Reale threw for 133 yards and 1 touchdown and Coughlan had 93 yards receiving. Drew Burt helped South Shore Vo-Tech's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 10 yards.
Old Colony RVT's Jacob Pringle and Cole Bernier have formed a dream team this season, leading Mayflower - Small in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Pringle has thrown for 646 yards this season, while Bernier has 15 catches for 295 yards. Keenen Phillips from Nantucket leads the league in rushing with 498 yards.
The Whalers are in third place, while the Wildcats are in first place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Nantucket takes on West Bridgewater. William Manchester's team has allowed 90 points this season, while WILLIAM PANOS's team has given up 100. The Whalers allowed 6 points last week as they bested the Cougars.
The Wildcats made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,011 from 12,209. The improvement was largely due to a 8-6 victory over the Vikings last week.
