Basketball Recap: Franklin Central Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

If Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Franklin Central, they should've done a better job of containing Shannon Kingsbury. The Franklin Central Purple Devils came out on top against the Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton Raiders by a score of 39-32 on Wednesday thanks in part to Kingsbury, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 24 times she's played.

Franklin Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Central and Stamford Central will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton, they will head out to face off against Schenevus Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
