New Miami's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They came out on top against the Lockland Panthers by a score of  24-14. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
New Miami's  win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Lockland, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. New Miami is set to  take on  their familiar foe Miami Valley Christian Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Lockland will  challenge  rival St. Bernard-Elmwood Place  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 25th.
