Excel Academy of South Shore had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past DuSable 55-53.
Meanwhile, Goode STEM Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 54-40 win over EPIC Academy.
Excel Academy of South Shore's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Goode STEM Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Excel Academy of South Shore came out on top in a nail-biter against Goode STEM Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 48-46.
