Vernon-Verona-Sherrill has been on the road for seven straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. After both having extra time off, they and the Camden Blue Devils will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After soaring to 55 points the game before, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill were a bit more limited in their contest back in January. They were beaten by Oneida 50-23. While losing is never fun, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 436th, while Oneida is ranked 77th).
Meanwhile, sadly, Camden is still looking for their first win of the season after six contests. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 45-22 walloping at the hands of Holland Patent last Friday. Camden has not had much luck with Holland Patent recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Camden, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Vernon-Verona-Sherrill didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Camden when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 34-30 win. Does Vernon-Verona-Sherrill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Camden turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
