Basketball Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

Dayspring Christian Academy won the last time they faced Lititz Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors came out on top against the Lititz Christian Eagles by a score of 53-41.

Dayspring Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Huxta, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Huxta has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Gabe Mellinger was another key player, going 6 for 12 en route to 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Lititz Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Jack Kriebel and Caeden Harmon. Kriebel went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds, while Harmon dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Harmon is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Dayspring Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Lititz Christian, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Dayspring Christian Academy will welcome Covenant Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
