Peebles is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will head out to square off against the Eastern Warriors at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Peebles' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
If Peebles beats Eastern with 13 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Indians blew past Glenwood 13-0 on Saturday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kaelyn Musser made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kendall Myers was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Riley Byers, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Peebles kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 14 hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Eastern is still undefeated this season after their game against Northwest on Thursday, but Northwest came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Mohawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since May 13, 2025.
Addison Arey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Arey was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
Arey wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Breeanna Jimison, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Peebles' record now sits at 3-0. As for Eastern, their record is now 4-0.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Peebles hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .477. However, it's not like Eastern struggles in that department as they've averaged .341. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Peebles came up short against Eastern when the teams last played back in May of 2025, falling 5-0. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
