They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past The Fulton 59-56. The win was some much needed relief for Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis found their leader in underclassman Kaleb Hardy, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Hardy has scored at least 25% of Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matheus Guimar?es, who scored six points along with 17 rebounds and three blocks.
Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for The Fulton, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis will stay at home for another game and welcome Rivers of Life Christian at 4:30 p.m. on December 14th. Allowing an average of 51.6 points per game, Rivers of Life Christian has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest. The Fulton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heritage Classical Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
