Carolina Forest hasn't had much luck against St. James recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Carolina Forest will look to defend their home field against St. James at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
While Carolina Forest didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Socastee on Friday as Carolina Forest made off with a 20-3 win. The Panthers have beaten the Braves the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Braves has come to flipping the script.
Kaysen Warehime made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Natalie Nesheiwat and Mady Eason did most of the damage at the plate: Nesheiwat went 3-for-5 with five RBI, one triple, and one run, while Eason went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Nesheiwat a new career-high. Brianna Baker was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Carolina Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .711. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, St. James never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Myrtle Beach 10-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Sharks, who have now won three contests in a row.
St. James' win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Carolina Forest, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-1.
Carolina Forest was able to grind out a solid win over St. James in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 3-0. Does Carolina Forest have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. James turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
