Springville has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Salem Hills Skyhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Springville suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 69-44 loss at the hands of Orem. Springville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-14.
Meanwhile, Salem Hills pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-58 to Cedar Valley.
Chase Degraffenried put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kason Averett, who scored 14 points.
Even though they lost, Salem Hills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Springville's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-8. As for Salem Hills, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Springville beat Salem Hills 64-55 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Springville repeat their success, or does Salem Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
