East Prairie has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Scott City Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, East Prairie strolled past Westwood Baptist Academy with points to spare, taking the game 48-32. Given East Prairie's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Westwood Baptist Academy is ranked 144th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Scott City scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Delta as Scott City made off with a 86-62 win. The victory was familiar territory for Scott City who now have three in a row.
East Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Scott City, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
East Prairie didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Scott City when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 45-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Prairie since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
