Socorro pushed their record up to 5-15 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Cobre, their win ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-17.
Socorro didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cobre when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 60-56 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Cobre's Julianna Ortiz, who scored 24 points. Now that she won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Socorro to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
