Caldwell won the last time they faced St. Joseph Catholic and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hornets came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Their offense was headlined by Kierstyn Macik and Lydia Giese, who picked up five kills apiece. Giese really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12. Abby Vogler controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Caldwell's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for St. Joseph Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Caldwell has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Franklin on the 21st. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Royse City on the 21st.
