Belmont lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jariah Porter, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 39.4% of Belmont's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camauria Mayo, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Thurgood Marshall was led to victory by Morganne Postell and Ma?kayla Williams. Postell scored 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Williams dropped a double-double on 38 points and 17 rebounds. Williams also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Raven Mccray was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds and two blocks.
Belmont has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Thurgood Marshall, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
