Volleyball Recap: Douglas County Starts Season with Win Against Osborne

Douglas County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Osborne Cardinals by a score of 2-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Douglas County easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20.

Allysan Morris paced Douglas County's offense, picking up five kills. Morris got some help from Kynedie Thomas and her six assists. Thomas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Coincidentally, Douglas County and Osborne will both be playing South Cobb the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will host the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
