Permian won the last time they faced Odessa and things went their way on Friday too. The Permian Panthers claimed a resounding 68-40 win over the Odessa Bronchos. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Permian is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Odessa, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Permian Panthers take on the San Angelo Central Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Odessa, they will head out on the road to square off against Midland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Odessa is facing Midland at the right time seeing as Midland is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
