After three games on the road, Valley Christian is heading back home. They will take on the East Palestine Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Valley Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They suffered a tough 59-38 defeat at the hands of Heartland Christian.
Meanwhile, East Palestine had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Academy for Urban Scholars with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 61-47. With that victory, East Palestine brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Kyler Bourne and Owen Jurjavicic were among the main playmakers for East Palestine as the former dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jurjavicic has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of RJ May, who scored eight points.
Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for East Palestine, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.
Valley Christian strolled past East Palestine in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 63-49. Will Valley Christian repeat their success, or does East Palestine have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
